It was our first year doing Wizard World Comic Con, and we saw some truly excellent costumes in just two days. We’ve spent the last week or so combing through the pictures we took and putting together another gallery.

Geekxgirls.com has put up some great shots from the convention that you should definitely check out. It was great to meet Dana and her entourage; they do good work.

The high pass filter is a great way to give your images a little extra pop. The name might sound strange, but you’ve probably already seen it at work. Gatorade uses it a lot, or at least they used to, and it can help bring out the details in a costume and give it an edgy look. In this tutorial I’ll show you one way to create the effect.

It only took seven months, but I’ve finally finished going through all the pictures from FanExpo 2011, and I’ve posted 100 of my favourites (in no particular order) in the galleries.

We took 6,766 photos over the course of the 4 day event, which breaks down to an average of 225 per hour, not accounting for any breaks. It was an exhausting couple of days, but we made some great photos. We’ve already booked our spot for 2012, so be sure to come back and visit us again.
